Here is a Griswold #8 skillet in stunning condition with slant logo and marked Erie only. Made between 1906-1912 in Erie Pennsylvania, only about 60 miles from our farm. Here is a Griswold #8 skillet in stunning condition with slant logo and marked Erie only. Made between 1906-1912 in Erie Pennsylvania, only about 60 miles from our farm. Fully restored and seasoned so it is ready for use or display. Measures 15 long including handle, 10.5 across and 2 deep. This skillet had a catalog number of 704 A. #8 skillets are large enough to cook a meal for the whole family!Estate find, please see photos. No cracks or chips. Minor utensil marks inside consistent with use. Sits flat. The bottom of the skillet has sulphur pitting as shown, mostly over the Griswold logo. This was caused by cooking over a coal stove many years ago - I always think about how many meals this must have cooked over the years! The inside is in beautiful, smooth condition antique Griswold skillets are known for. It does have a few small casting flaws as shown.It is rust free, professionally restored via electrolysis. It has been seasoned with multiple coats of grapeseed oil. Ready for use or display.
