Vintage full-size embossed 1973 Aladdin Walt Disney World Metal Lunchbox This embossed metal lunch box was manufactured by Aladdin in 1973 to commemorate the opening of Disneyworld in Florida, the first expansion of the theme parks past Disneyland. The lunch box is illustrated in late 1960s graphic styles & colors, showing some of the attractions at Disneyworld like the monorail, Cinderella’s castle, the train ride, the jungle cruise, SwissFamily Robinson’s Treehouse, the Country Bear Jamboree, & Adventureland. Disney characters are limited to Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto & the Country Bear Jamboree. Both large panels of the box are embossed, which is a rarity on metal lunchboxes. The inside of the lunch box is a Public Service Announcement for children about “Safety First”. This vintage 1973 embossed metal lunch box is in great condition. And it has it’s original Thermos Wire! DOES NOT HAVE THERMOS. The inside of the lunchbox has some rust wear damage, but not excessive considering it is over 45 years old. Please see photos for details. The Graphics are clear with slight fading and luster. The edges are scratched with some rust. Insides have some some wear and stains with a little rust. Please see photos for details. Both sides of the embossed box are stamped “Aladdin Industries, Incorporated, Nashville, Tenn 39210 USA” © Walt Disney Productions” MEASUREMENTS: 7 1/4" x 8 3/4" x 4" Previously owned. Comes from a smoke free environment. Please keep in mind that practically all pre-owned pieces have been used by at least one previous owner. It's a rarity to find an item that has absolutely no indication of use. I do not clean, repair, or otherwise recondition our products; they are sold in as-found condition. Since this lunchbox was used by a child for their lunch once upon a time, it has dings commensurate with that usage, but overall is in very good condition for being 45 years old. The children who originally joyfully played with it are now adults in their late 40s through 50s. Hopefully the happiness that once touched this lunchbox will brighten up your home and life as well.
